Emergency Management resources

This section of the Course Resources CD, Emergency Management Resources, contains a number of links to Emergency Management and associated web-sites, plus some documents located on this CD that we have collected over the past few years.

Please be aware that these are just some of the sites that are available. This listing is in no way a exhaustive collection, however it does provide a good cross section of the online resources available to the Emergency Management professional.

We have made every effort to ensure that the web addresses, or URLs in this list are accurate and active, however web addresses and sites change regularly. Some are added, some are deleted and some change location. Therefore you should be aware that sometimes you may have to backtrack to the parent organisation or agency site and search for the specific area.

If you do come across any interesting or valuable web sites during your studies that you feel would be of interest to other students, you are encouraged to let us know about the resource by posting the details to your subject forum.

I hope you find these resources of value and that you continue to collect your own as you progress through the course.

For those resources located on this CD, click on the required document to open that publication this will open within a new browser, either as a single pdf document, or as a folder containing a chapter or series of pdf documents. You then choose the required document. Adobe©Reader© should automatically launch. Please see the "about this CD" page if you need instructions to install Adobe©Reader©.

Alternatively, to also browse individual publications, simply use your file management program (eg. Windows Explorer) to browse through the subfolders and files within the Virtual Books helf folder in your Course Resource CD on your CD-ROM drive.
