Preparing and implementing the risk treatment plan
The final part of the risk treatment process involves preparing and implementing the risk treatment options selected. The risk treatment plan should document how the options are going to be implemented. By now you should have commenced the identification and evaluation of your own risk treatment options relating to your specific risk assessment project. From this risk assessment and your recent risk treatment activities, you should be able to start identifying some recommendations that arise out of your risk assessment to effectively treat the risks assessed. It is important at this time that you understand the difference between a set of conclusions (discussed earlier) and a set of recommendations.

Students should note they will be expected to develop an emergency plan in Subject EMG103 (Emergency Management Planning 3). This emergency management plan should be based on the results of your risk assessment, thus on the recommendations you develop here. But DO NOT, REPEAT , DO NOT start to write a plan yet, that will be your task in EMG103.
Your recommendations should contain the following information and form the basis of identifying how you will implement your risk treatment options:
- Responsibilities for implementing and action required within each option;
- Schedules/ timeframes for implementation and actions;
- Expected outcomes of each treatment option;
- Budgeting/ financial information;
- Resource requirements;
- Performance management information, including performance measures; and
- Review, reporting and monitoring process that will be used to review the implementation and success of each option.
