During your consideration of emergency management planning during EMG103 Emergency Management Plan Development, two external influences on emergency management planning were considered. These were: institutional/political aspects and public attitudes. Reflect back on this discussion and list some of the types of public attitude that may affect the emergency management planning process?
These are only examples of some of the things that might be addressed during hazard analysis and planning. Once having identified the potential problems and prepared plans that will help address the issues, we need to ensure that the actions specified in the plan can be carried out in the event of a disaster or emergency.
