Case Study: The North Wales (Towyn) Floods of 1990
In 1990 a series of floods swept across the north of Wales, becoming known as the Towyn Floods. Over 6000 people were affected and people were still in temporary accommodation months after the event. Complex financial and management issues arose and some victims required ongoing support and care for several years.
