Key issues associated with management of operational aid

There are a number of considerations and issues that authorities need to take into consideration and bear in mind when examining the need for external operational aid. These issues and considerations will influence the type of aid that might be required, the type of aid that might be available and how that aid is managed and utilised. Factors that may have an impact include things such as the existence of formalised strategies and arrangements, the type of emergency event being responded to, the availability of effective coordination, the availability of skilled operators, technicians and facilities for the aid, the long term nature of the aid requirement and capabilities to manage such requirement etc. etc.

I cannot provide any suggested answers for your matrix as the key issues and their resolution will be particular to your circumstance.

What I have done is to provide a rational framework for you to use as an analytical tool when analysing the organisation and management of external operational aide relevant to your selected emergency/disaster event.
